Change Over Time
Thermography is the only test that shows physiological changes over time. All other tests such as MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography measure anatomy or structure.
It is known that the first sign of disease is increased vascular activity to the area. The specialized technology with thermography can visually record these early warning signs.
Thermograms can be taken of the whole body or specific areas.
The surface temperature of your body is visually recorded by the sensitive thermographic camera. Since there is a high degree of thermal symmetry (same on both sides) in the normal body it is easy to detect asymmetrical (different each side) or abnormal patterns of concern.
This provides your health care team with invaluable information for assessment, monitoring and early treatment options.

Thermographic patterns don’t change much through one’s lifetime (like a thumbprint). If an abnormality becomes present it is visually noticeable with thermography as shown.
Thermography is suitable for women of all ages including younger women who due to denser breast tissue are not normally candidates for mammography. It is a study of change over time so to begin with it is important to establish a baseline for future comparisons.
