Thermographic scans can be taken of the whole body or specific areas. Besides breast screening it can be beneficial in detecting and monitoring a wide range of health conditions. A specialized camera visually records your unique thermal signature to establish any abnormality or pathology present.

 

 

Inflammatory Pain
Thermography is beneficial to locate “hot spots” or inflammation that can be associated with muscle pain, arthritis, disc disease, and tendonitis. The scans can be useful for guiding therapeutic treatment for better results. Unexplained Pain
Thermography detects physiological responses to conditions in the body. Oftentimes, painful areas that result from occurrences like headaches & migraines, referred pain syndrome and fibromyalgia can be noticeably seen on a thermogram.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The inflammatory response from nerve damage that is associated with carpal tunnel syndrome can be detected with thermography.

Accidents & Injuries
Right ankle fracture with painful inflammation at left shin due to weight compensation. Thermography allows for monitoring throughout and during treatment rehabilitation for injuries such as whiplash, sprains and fractures.

Dental Inflammation
Male patient with an abyss that was left untreated. This can lead to serious systemic disorders including heart problems, as indicated by the cooler area at the left chest area.

TMJ Dysfunction
Temporal mandibular joint problems are often hard to diagnose. This thermal image clearly shows the inflammation in the upper jaw area.

Vascular Pain
Patient had 3 year history of pain with no clinical cause found with MRI and nerve testing. Thermography clearly shows phlebitis of a vein. It can also detect abysses and other infections.

Digestive Disorders
Problems such as diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome and McBernie’s point associated with appendix disorder can be shown with thermography.

Thyroid Dysfunction
Thermography can detect abnormalities associated with thyroid dysfunction.

Stroke Screening
Occlusion of the carotid artery is a risk factor with stroke. Signs of occlusion are apparent with thermographic screening.
