STAMINA Clinic Lethbridge will be hosting Thermography Information Evenings.
These sessions are open to the general public to build awareness of this valuable technology for early detection of breast cancer and to monitor breast health.
Thermography is unique in that it shows physiological changes in the body such as increased vascular activity which is the first sign of an abnormality.
It is a non-invasive, no radiation and no body contact procedure.

What is Infrared Imaging?
Digital infrared thermal imaging is a totally non-invasive clinical imaging procedure for detecting and monitoring a number of diseases and physical injuries, by showing the thermal abnormalilties present in the body.
It is used as an aid for diagnosis and prognosis, as well as monitoring therapy progress, for conditions and injuries, including:

Images or "Thermograms" can be taken of the whole body or just areas being investigated. The digitized images are stored on a computer and are sent electronically to a Thermologist (certified doctor) for interpresation and reporting. Your report is colour printed and a copy can also be sent to your healthcare professional.
