STAMINA® Rehabilitation Therapy

STAMINA® Rehabilitation Therapy is a new manual therapy that treats the whole body rather than just the site of the pain or dysfunction.

Through incorrect posture, injury or illness muscles can become mal-aligned. We have learned that if muscles are not in their correct place, they are not able to stabilize the joints, or distribute the load they are normally capable of.

Compensation occurs when muscles are mal-aligned, resulting in excessive pressure or load on the other muscles.

This is similar to suspension bridge cables that distribute load between specific points. If one cable (muscle) looses its proper tension, then excessive load is transferred to the other cables (or muscles).

Each muscle is designed for certain functions and load capabilities. When compensation occurs from mal-alignment we experience muscle and joint pain, numbness and other symptoms.

If your muscles are weakened or mal-aligned it causes stress on the joints or structure of your body.

Similar to the Eiffel tower our body needs a strong foundation or base to support it. The psoas muscles attach to the spinal column and are integral in providing this foundation.

STAMINA® Rehabilitation Therapy aligns the psoas and other stabilizing load management muscles of the body into their optimal positions.

Your brain moves muscles via neuromotor pathways.

Once we align the muscles we also train your brain to recognize that the muscles are once again available. This ends compensation patterns.

In this way, STAMINA® Rehabilitation Therapy is able to treat your symptoms and the causes, while potentially preventing future problems.
