The STAMINA® SWEDGIE™ was developed by the founders of STAMINA® Rehabilitation Therapy in Lethbridge. It was created when we recognized how often people were sitting for long periods of time with their legs in an external rotation. This position held for extended or repeated intervals leads to pain and discomfort.

Until the STAMINA® SWEDGIE™ it was thought lumbar seat or cushion support was adequate to address the problem of long term sitting. These products provide only localized external support and still allow the spine to compress.

STAMINA® SWEDGIE™ holds the thighs in internal rotation engaging the quadriceps and psoas major/iliacus muscles. This allows your muscles, with the aid of the SWEDGIE™, to effortlessly support your spine and improve your posture.
